Hi all!

My name is Amanda Pappas and I will be serving as President of our awesome PTO this year.

I was born and raised here in Houston, attended the University of Houston and currently work fulltime as a contract bookkeeper for small businesses.

This is my 5th year on the PTO and my second and final year as President. My husband, Markos and I have two boys. John, a 7th grader at Hogg Middle School and Demitri a 4th grader here at Crockett.

I have seen so much change in this school over the years and it just keeps getting better! I am proud to say I have been a part of all the good the PTO has done over the years and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish this year!

HI! My name is Jennifer Presas and this year’s Co-president! It’s my fourth year on the PTO board. My first opportunity to serve on the board was as Parliamentarian. I also served as Secretary and Vice-President. I am a native Houstonian and UH alumna (Go Coogs!). I have my Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations.

My husband David and I have two daughters– Layla (5th grade) and Kinsley! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, shopping, and graphic design.

Hi! I’m Dena a native Houstonian and I love this city! This will be my daughter Emma’s second year at Crockett.

I'm super excited to be working with the PTO again this year and with the Crockett Elementary family. I love being involved with the community and my daughter's education. It's important to support the teachers who support our children!

Hello everyone! My name is Maria Castillo, and because I am so wholeheartedly devoted to Crockett Elementary, I will be serving as the...SPECIAL EVENTS CHAIR & SECRETARY!!

This is my first year with a role in the PTO but have been very active for the past yrs. My son Oren will be in the 2nd grade this school year.

I am a born and raised Houston Texan. I speak English, Spanish and some French.

I work full time as an educator. I enjoy reading, vacationing and hanging out with friends.

I am so excited to see the great things the PTO can come up with this school year!

Hi, I am Gladis. I have my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Management from the University of Houston-Downtown and have been working at the University for about 23 years. I am in the office of Human Resources as the Benefits & Compensation Administrator. I love the color purple and love to collect Betty Boop stuff. My daughter will be attending 4th grade, and she is my world. I love to help and volunteer when I can, and I am excited to be part of the Crockett PTO board this year as the Treasurer and 4th-grade representative.

Hi Everyone! My name is Lisa Reyna and my son Jad Salameh (3rd) loves everything about his school and just that alone brings us so much joy! I also have a future baby wolf, our little girl Juliana (1 yo).

I am an Executive Life Coach working globally with diverse corporations and professionals in addition to having a practice in West University providing modern psychotherapy to adults.

I am Colombian-American and my husband Ziad is originally from Lebanon. We have traveled and lived all over the world and enjoy seeing the diversity at Crockett.

My passion is my family, my love for learning and growing, the study of positive psychology (the scientific study of happiness), and also being an active Worldschooler in the summers.

I am honored to be part of all the growth and innovation happening at Crockett and will be serving as Parliamentarian for this school year.

Hello! My name is Sarah Sarah Feiden and this is my first year taking the role of Eco-Committee Chair. I love working with plants of all genera and strive to learn as much as I can about all the species around the world, my favorites to learn about are tropical and rare species. Being a part of the development and beautification of the school grounds is an honor and a blessing to be able to share my enthusiasm for the importance of plants in our day to day life.

I am blessed with two bright and talented girls whose love for the arts has brought us to Crockett where they have thrived and grown as beautiful little humans ready to take on the world. My 3rd grader has love playing the drums and was accepted to play in Crockett’s after school percussion ensemble. My 1st grader loves everything visual arts and has taken her love from what she has learned from Crockett to after school classes at the Glassell School of Art. We love Crockett Elementary and all the staff that we have the privilege to have teaching these girls with passion and compassion.

While the girlies are in school, I spend my time as a doggy caregiver and working on becoming a registered Herbalist. In our family free time, we enjoy camping, beach trips, adventures around the city, and lots of board games with an occasional puzzle from time to time. Life is a gift and we intend to enjoy it no matter what life throws at us.

My passion is building community and empowering women as the Community Strategist for Houston Latina Collaborative.

Hi! I’m Liz. I’m a third year Crockett Mama to Cole (2nd) and Milo (Kinder). This is my first year serving on the PTO board but I’ve always been available for volunteer opportunities as needed for our community. I’m excited to help fundraise for Crockett and I’m also the Kindergarten representative.

I attended UH where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media. While I dabble in all things digital media professionally, my main focus is my photography business.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, baking, veggie gardening in our backyard. I pick up new skills/hobbies often. I just love to make, create & DIY!

My name is Natalie, my husband and I have two littles whom we adore, a boy and a girl named, Jax and Skylar. Jax will be attending first grade in the Fall and Skylar will soon follow his footsteps in about another year. We are all born and raised in Houston, Texas and we love being apart of the Crockett community. A couple things about myself, I love a memorable vacation, I enjoy going to different restaurants and I love to throw a good party! I look forward to my position as membership chair and getting to know everyone and most importantly contributing to such a great school.

My name is Brittany Wilson. My son, Brody, attends Crockett Elementary School- Class of 2034. 2023-2023 will be my first year on the PTO board, and I am excited to get more involved at Crockett!

I work full-time in the legal field and currently attend the University of Houston full-time to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Minor in Business Administration. In the future, I plan to become a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy working with young adults who present symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In my (not so little) free time, I enjoy traveling, attending comedy shows, and snuggling with our cat Luna. Some of my hobbies are cooking, crafting, plant shopping, and spending quality time with my son and fiancé.

My name is Sara Carr and my son is in kindergarten. I am very excited to be a part of the PTO again this year and help maintain the website.

I am a digital and print graphic designer; I have 17 years of experience working for non-profit organizations in television, music, higher education, and healthcare. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas but I lived in Los Angeles for awhile.

I love going on camping trips with my son and husband; bird watching; and being that person who always orders fajitas at a Tex-Mex restaurant.

While I am new to the Crockett community, I am no stranger to the heights as I am a native “Heights-tonian”. My son Easton will be entering first grade class of 2035. I’ve been a professional Make-up artist for 15 years.

I absolutely love baseball, art, all things Disney, and a good party!

I am excited to sit on the PTO as Hospitality chair for 2023-2024. I look forward to coordinating all the things big and small to ensure our staff and teachers feel appreciated.

Hi! My name is Jeanny Brackney. I hold the Spirit Store Chair for the 2023-2024 School. I am new to the Crockett family, and I look forward to service our school and the parents.

I am a mother of three wonderful kids, ages 5, 2, and 8 months old. I have bachelor's degrees in marketing and accounting and have been working in the field for 16 years. I am originally from El Salvador but have lived in Houston since the age of 3. I love building community among groups and serving in the community. In my spare time, I love reading, drinking coffee, watching a good cooking show and working out.

I look forward to getting to know the families at Crockett and serving our school to make it a better place for our kids.
